Spanish studio Rodriguez Design has revealed the first renderings of a new 84.4 metre concept called Catalina.
Her steel hull and aluminium superstructure feature both interior and exteriors by Ignacio Rodriguez, who describes the interior styling as “modern and chic” with pastel blue accents and hammered bronze details throughout.
The exterior would be dark grey, with “nuanced lines” and vast entertaining spaces across her proposed five-deck layout.
Catalina’s 2300GT comprises accommodation for 14 guests across six cabins. The owner’s suite and two VIP cabins are found forward on the main deck while three double cabins sleep eight guests on the lower. Nine cabins for 22 crew members are located forward.
A central staircase is designed to connect communal areas vertically and makes it easy for guests to socialise across multiple lounging and entertaining spaces.
An upper saloon has three different living spaces all with expansive glazing. The first has aspects of architectural glass protruding through the deck to create a “fishbowl effect,” and allows copious amounts of sunlight to bathe the space.
Centrally a library with lounging options doubles as a refined space for evening cocktails, meanwhile a fully equipped bar and piano is tucked in the bow.
“The styling of the yacht marks the style direction of the studio … subtle and understated yet rich and complex,” said Josh Rodriguez, head of the design studio. Guests would also find a fully equipped sauna and spa, gym, massage room and hairdressing station onboard.
The yacht will offer a 102 metre square beach club able to expand by an extra 40 square metres with balconies that unfold at the touch of a button. A 6.7 metre by 3.65 metre pool will boast a counter flow system and stairs on both sides of the deck lead directly onto a sunbathing area on a mezzanine, where a Jacuzzi and generous sunpads create a more relaxed environment.
She is designed with a helipad suited for an Airbus ACH 145. Alongside the landing space on the upper deck, guests will find a waiting area with a circular seating arrangement for up to 14 people.
Catalina is equipped with numerous external spots to dine and unwind, including two “nest-style” seating platforms, an oversized four person sunpad, a U-shaped sofa for six and two wet bars serviced via a centred fridge-freezer arrangement on the main deck. A shaded chill-out area with two L-shaped sofas and a coffee table is found elsewhere. An alfresco dining area is located on the upper deck with seating for up to 12 people.
Catalina is designed with a cruising speed of 12 knots and a top speed of 16 knots. Her diesel-electric hybrid propulsion is designed to with a range of 6500 nautical miles.
