Oceanco has revealed the first renderings of a new, 80-metre concept named Pegasus. Designed in-house, the superyacht belongs to Oceanco's Simply Custom range, which aims to offer a new type of customisable superyacht built on a proven platform.
A standout feature onboard Pegasus is her "fully private" owner's deck, offering 140 square metres of both interior and exterior space. Up top, the deck is crowned by a private crow's nest that, arranged with a sofa and sunpad, provides the best place for sightseeing onboard.
The main deck is arranged with a six-metre swimming pool, sunpads and lounge with a bar and eight-person table. The upper deck houses another dining table alongside sofa seating and is connected to a 70-square-metre skylounge. On the lower deck, a 75-square-metre beach club opens through a shell door to reveal a large terrace with ocean views. A connected gym gives access to the swim platform.
"One of Oceanco’s unique points as a yacht builder is our in-house creative Design team. Patrick is our senior designer, involved for over 25 years; Romain is our 3D digital designer; Thibault provides the team with 3D modelling capacity; and Gilles is the head of design at Oceanco," explained a spokesperson for the shipyard.
They added: "Our yachts are not just designed; they’re tailored experiences that mirror the owner’s soul. By harmonizing human elements, cutting-edge technology and timeless aesthetics, we craft designs that transcend the ordinary and define the extraordinary."
Lateral Naval Architects is responsible for the engineering and naval architecture of the Simply Custom range, and 17 designers were invited to lend their hands to the yacht's exteriors. Interiors, meanwhile, can be heavily customised by a client, but Oceanco has shortlisted several designers who it thinks would be best suited to the projects.
