Numarine has unveiled the design for its 40m 40XP steel-hulled explorer superyacht concept. The concept was first revealed to BOAT International in 2014.

As the first steel hull yacht for Numarine, it’s a change of size and pace for the Turkish builder best known for composite performance boats of up to 30m. Penned by Turkish designer Can Yalman, the 40XP concept will be the first in a planned line of explorer or ‘trawler’ models.

The 40XP features a steel hull, a light alloy superstructure, a full beam owner’s cabin with port and starboard extending balconies and two en suites, two VIP cabins and two guest cabins. Two Caterpillar ACER 32 engines are expected to offer a 4,000nm range.
