Pershing, a brand of Ferretti Group, has launched the first superyacht in its sporty Pershing GTX80 series. Designed by Rome-based studio Vallicelli Yacht Design, the 23.9-metre model is characterised by open spaces and "maximum onboard livability".
In a first for a Pershing model, the stern can be converted into lateral terraces to promote "direct contact with the sea".
Accommodation is for up to eight guest across four cabins, plus a cabin for two crew. Interiors are "pared down", featuring integrated LEDs and lacquered ceiling panels with metallic silver paint. A sunroof above the windshield can be opened for natural ventilation.
Designed with exterior glazing that extends below the walkways, the model benefits from airy interiors and ocean views "even when sitting on the sofas". An innovative development is the layout of the open galley-bar, which is fully integrated into the lounge setting and opens out onto the cockpit, acting as the yacht's main hub.
The 23-square-metre sundeck has an optional carbon-fabric hardtop which Pershing claims to be the series' "real novelty [...] guaranteeing maximum performance and maintaining a chromatically uniform finish". Meanwhile, the stern platform has three different positions – default, raised and for launching tenders.
Powered by three Volvo Penta engines, the yacht can reach a top speed of 34 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. The yacht also has CE Class A certification.
This follows Ferretti Group's recent virtual roundtable, where they offered an in-depth look at the latest Navetta 38 accompanied by new renderings.
