Italian designer and founder of Wooden Boats shipyard, Marco Arnaboldi, has released designs for an 8.3 metre limousine tender that is currently under construction.
Named Limo Blue, the vintage design features rounded lines that slope towards the stern, reminiscent of runabouts of the fifties and sixties. The maximum beam is 2.6 metres, with a 2.9-ton displacement.
Constructed in GRP, the deckhouse on Limo Blue has the unique feature of being able to be lowered to the height of the gunwale when it has to be stored in the garage, with an internal height of 1.8 metres when in navigation position.
There is room on board for 12 guests and two crew members; 10 seats of sofas are located along the bulwarks. On the first model, the owner opted for an open helm station in the bow with seats for the two crew members.
“When I launched the first Limo Tender it was received with enthusiasm and other orders followed, each customised, according to the owner's wishes,” said Marco Arnaboldi. “With the 8.3 metre ‘Limo Blue’, I thought of introducing a stylistic connotation in the deck and the topsides inspired by Fellini's 'Dolce Vita' and by the timeless design of the runabouts of the time.”
Onboard equipment includes air conditioning, a hi-fi system with six speakers, four USB sockets for charging devices, indirect LED lighting and a 70-litre freshwater tank.
With a 270hp inboard diesel motor and sterndrive, Limo Blue can reach a top speed of 35 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots.
The vessel is due to be launched in June 2023.
