The newly-refitted interiors of the iconic 88-metre Perini Navi sailing yacht Maltese Falcon have been revealed by her central agency for charter, Burgess.
One of the world's largest sailing yachts, Maltese Falcon features naval architecture by Dykstra Naval Architects and interior design by Ken Freivokh.
She joined the charter market shortly after her full-scale refit at Lusben last year, with BOAT International invited for a behind-the-scenes look in March 2023.
Launched in 2006, the project took nearly six years to complete. With radical unstayed masts made of "weapons-grade" carbon fibre and a computerised sail and mast control system, Maltese Falcon (and its FalconRig) are still considered a triumph of design, development and engineering.
The superyacht emerged from her six month refit with a new cinema room on the main deck, a Japanese-style dining room and an upgrade of technical systems – including "more sustainable" LED lighting and the latest Starlink WiFi.
She also underwent a hull repaint (from black to "Perini Blue") and received a new extendable passerelle, inflatable platform and range of tenders and toys.
Accommodation is across six cabins, including a full-beam master cabin with a walk-in wardrobe and adjoining gym, as well as his-and-hers bathrooms. The bathrooms now have a Jacuzzi bath as well as a shower room.
The flybridge has a new circular sunbed that rotates with the sun, while the main deck is now shaded by a hardtop and arranged with open-air dining, a sit-up bar and new sound and light systems.
Maltese Falcon still features the world's largest outdoor cinema, where movies are projected onto the lower sail.
The sailing yacht is available to charter from a weekly rate of $490,000.
