€2.1M price reduction on 56m Perini Navi ketch Fidelis

20 December 2024 • Written by Nick Jeffery

The 56-metre Perini Navi ketch Fidelis, listed for sale with Bruce Brakenhoff of Edmiston, has had a €2,100,000 price reduction and is now asking €29,900,000.

Built of aluminium in Italy by the renowned Perini Navi yard in 2011, Fidelis was the tenth hull in the ten-boat 56-metre series, so benefits from all the improvements made to her predecessors. Exterior and interior design is by Perini Navi with naval architecture by the “maestro” Ron Holland.

Lying in Nassau, Bahamas, Fidelis is now asking €29,900,000.

Fidelis is a proven world cruiser having sailed as far as the Amazon River, the Middle East, Antarctica and the South Pacific. Refitted in 2023, she has been carefully maintained by her original owner since new and by her long-term crew.

She accommodates an owner’s party of 12 in five cabins; the full-beam master suite, situated amidships for minimum motion, feeling comparable to that of a similar-sized motor yacht and boasting his-and-her bathrooms. Four guest double cabins, two with additional Pullman berths, are positioned forward of the master and there are quarters for a crew of 10 in the bow. Crew benefit from a spacious mess, with the galley and laundry area equipped with Miele appliances.

The sunken cockpit leads to the interior which has a classic atmosphere, the inviting deck saloon and dining room giving guests far-reaching views. The Perini trade-mark flybridge also offers ample seating, a bank of joined-up sunpads aft and twin helm-stations, with all sail controls to hand, protected by a bimini top.

Windows in the bimini allow the helmsman to see the Doyle sails, set on the 61-metre main mast and 49-metre mizzen, both of aluminium. Booms are composite and the sheets and halyards are controlled via captive winches, pioneered by Perini.

Her navy blue hull disguises opening ports in the cabins as well as fold-down “sea balconies” from where her vast inventory of toys can be embarked. Guests might also relax on a sunpad or enjoy a refreshment with their toes in the water on these inviting teak-decked platforms. The broker said “sea level dining” is possible – while at anchor.

The ABS-classed, MCA-compliant 496GT yacht for sale has a cruising speed of 12 knots under power and maximum speed of 16 knots. With her centreboard/lifting keel lifted she has a draft of 3.95 metres, increasing to 9.73 metres when lowered. Range is 3,500 nautical miles at her economical speed of 10 knots under twin 1,258hp Caterpillar diesels, driving controllable pitch Rolls Royce propellers.

Lying in Nassau, Bahamas, Fidelis is now asking €29,900,000.
