THE ITINERARY
Torres del Paine
Meet Teleost in Puerto Natales, just a 10-minute drive from Chile’s international airport. It’s known as the gateway to the Torres del Paine National Park. Let the crew show you around and welcome you on board with a decadent brunch. In the afternoon, take a 20-minute drive to Cueva del Milodón, three enormous caves where you can learn about the giant sloths that used to live in this part of Chile more than 10,000 years ago.

Kawésqar National Reserve
Teleost will spend the day navigating the dramatic narrow channels of Canal Smyth before heading to Kawésqar National Reserve (formerly the Alacalufes National Reserve) on the canal’s southern side. The reserve is the second largest in Chile. After lunch on the aft deck with the snow-capped mountains as a backdrop, a local guide will take you through the Magallanes rainforest to spot the Huemul (South Andean deer), puma, Culpeo fox and the Magellanic woodpecker.
Isla Carlos III
After an overnight cruise approximately 90 nautical miles south-east, Teleost will arrive at Isla Carlos III, famed for the abundance of humpback whales that pass through the Francisco Coloane Marine Park. Spend the day on tenders and kayaks to spot humpbacks, sei whales, minke whales and the elusive orca. After lunch, a coastal hike in the afternoon will reveal nesting Magellanic penguins.
Isla Clarence
After breakfast, Teleost will begin cruising south-east, passing to the north of the white-carpeted Isla Clarence and to the south of Isla Dawson to enter the Almirantazgo Fjord, which forms a deep inlet on the west coast of Tierra del Fuego. At the foot of the Cordillera Darwin mountain range is a huge, crumbling glacier where Teleost will drop anchor for guests to hear the shifting ice rumble, and explore the serrated coastline by kayak in the afternoon, including Ainsworth Bay and its colony of elephant seals.
Alberto de Agostini
Teleost will leave the Almirantazgo Sound in the morning and begin her passage around the western tip of Tierra del Fuego to the Alberto de Agostini National Park. Known for its spectacular fjords and glaciers, this is Chile’s third-largest protected area. Lunch is served in front of the soaring mountains before cruising to the famous Beagle Channel. In the afternoon, spot Peale’s dolphins, South American sea lions and fur seals.

Garibaldi Glacier
After weighing anchor in the early morning, Teleost will pass through Canal Brecknock and Canal Ballenero on the southwest coast of Tierra del Fuego before cruising the spectacular southern side of the Alberto de Agostini National Park. Teleost can draw close to the huge glaciers that fill the deep fjords and drop anchor before the granite walls of Pía Sound. Dinner is set before the vast Garibaldi Glacier.
Puerto Williams
Teleost will continue south-east along the famous Beagle Channel to spot more of the huge glaciers that line the channel’s northern coast. The yacht will pass the Yendegaia National Park, which was only established in 2013, to see the mountains, glaciers, rivers and lakes by foot. In the afternoon, Teleost will arrive in Puerto Williams, where flights are available to Punta Arenas or Santiago.
