The 42.8-metre Baglietto superyacht Sofia 3 has been relaunched following an extensive refit by Italian yard Lusben. She is now preparing for interior outfitting work by Viareggio-based firm La Mandragol.
Work included the complete repainting of the hull and superstructure in dark grey and the refurbishment of all outdoor ceilings with "wood-like paint" to "add a touch of warmth and originality". The sundeck has also been modified into a "more liveable", split layout that includes a new sofa and teak decking.
Other major operations included structural work to replace the metal plates in areas affected by water infiltration or corrosion, and the replacement of much of the glazing, including the wheelhouse windows.
Sofia 3 was delivered in 2008 to an exterior design by Francesco Paszkowski, with interiors styled by Pedro Pena.
The collaboration between Sofia 3's owners and Lusben began in 2018, when the Italian shipyard was commissioned to carry out a major stern extension and install a pop-out transformer before the superyacht's move to the United States.
