Italian designer Francesco Struglia Design Studio has revealed designs for a new 61-metre superyacht concept, dubbed Necklace.
Taking inspiration from jewellery, the concept is defined by contemporary lines which create an asymmetrical shape with plenty of space thanks to the 10.4-metre beam and estimated volume of 1000GT.
“The architectural concept of a superstructure made up of separate elements opens up many possibilities for interpretation and customisation. The goal is always to seek out new forms of design and assembly, which simplify construction, costs, and the future disposal of the building, for design ethics aimed at sustainability,” commented Francesco Struglia in a press release.
The project is defined by its expansive living spaces, with a main deck that will host a semi-open 320-square-metre lounge and opening terraces that transform and extend the space by up to 400-square-metres into the wellness area, complete with a gym and beach club aft.
A second saloon, the ‘Serra lounge,’ is planned for the upper deck, featuring a double-height greenhouse, acting as the “green lung of the yacht.” Other standout features are her two pools, one found aft connecting over two levels, and one forward on the bow.
Accommodation will host up to 12 or 16 guests arranged either with seven cabins or the option for five cabins with an additional cinema room or wellness space. The private owner’s suite boasts an independent terrace with panoramic views.
The design studio is a previous winner of the BOAT International World Superyacht Awards, taking home an award for the 37-metre Benetti Motopanfilo Koju in 2022.
