Italian shipyard Pershing, a brand of yachting giant Ferretti Group, has announced the launch of its fourth GTX116 model. The sports yacht hit the water in the port of Fano, Italy last week (10 July) and joins sisterships Caffeine and Agartha on the water.
The 35.2-metre model has been tailored for the US market, with a "strong sporting spirit", extensive glazing and a superstructure painted a custom shade of Pershing grey, created by mixing two classic Pershing colours. Key numbers include a 7.7-metre beam and a draft of 1.5 metres.
The design is the result of a collaboration between Ferretti Group’s product strategy committee led by Piero Ferrari, designer Fulvio De Simoni and the Group's engineering department.
Accommodation is across four guest cabins and a full-beam owner's suite, all positioned on the lower deck and outfitted in glossy black detailing. While imagery is undisclosed, interiors are said to be styled in shades of grey and ivory and incorporate brands such as Poltrona Frau and Minotti for the furniture.
The 39-square-metre beach club is a model highlight, comprising an extended swim platform and sunbathing platform, as is the "panoramic cockpit" with its dining table, bar and lounge space. There is also storage for a Jet Ski on the aft deck. All in all, the GTX116 offers 165 square metres of outdoor space.
Three MAN engines paired with three Kamewa waterjets propel the Pershing to a top speed of 34 knots and a cruising speed of 29 knots.
Ferretti Group includes seven brands including Pershing. The Group recently announced a record-breaking order book.
