Dutch shipyard Damen has revealed its latest Sea Axe explorer yacht project, a 43 metre called the Adventure 4008.
Designed to appeal to adrenaline lovers and outdoor thrill seekers, the Damen Adventure 4008 was unveiled earlier this month at the 2016 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show.
Mark Vermeulen, product director at Damen, said: “The muscular, rugged looks are not just for show. The Adventure 4008 has serious capability with proven performance in the most demanding environments. It’s a no-nonsense yacht — very reliable.”
This floating toy box features an aft deck that measures 140 metres square and can carry all of the latest superyacht water toys, including submarines, Jet Skis, sports tenders and much more besides. This area can also be used as a superyacht helipad with a maximum take-off weight of 3.7 tonnes.
Accommodation on board the Damen Adventure 4008 is configurable up to a maximum of up to eight guests split across five cabins, while the interior design is also open to customisation.
Key features include a spacious dining area, a shaded al fresco dining space on the main deck, a large swim platform and a bridge deck lounge that offers panoramic views out to sea.
The Damen Adventure 4008’s propulsion system is designed to deliver a top speed of 24 knots and a maximum cruising range of 5,000 nautical miles. The semi-custom platform means that any new orders can be delivered within six months of contract signing.
Other projects currently under development at the Dutch yard include the first Damen Seaxplorer 65, which was sold earlier this year and is due to launch in 2019.
