Vero: Codecasa delivers 24m "gentleman's yacht" to owner based in Asia

22 July 2024 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Italian shipyard Codecasa has delivered the 23.9-metre Vero from its facility in Viareggio, Italy. The yacht will soon embark on her maiden voyage to Asia, where she is "keenly awaited" by the owner and his family.

Built in aluminium, Vero's classic, gentlemanly exterior is owed to Luca Dina Design and Architecture. She was sold in 2021 with Carmen Lau, senior advisor at Camper & Nicholsons Asia, introducing the client.

Lau said: "Vero is truly extraordinary, blending vintage charm with modern elegance through its use of mahogany, stainless steel and a touch of 60s chic."

According to the yard, Vero has been outfitted with "all modern systems, state-of-art technology and advanced functionality." Accommodation includes an owner's suite on the main deck and three additional guest cabins situated on the lower deck, hosting up to eight guests. There are a further two cabins to accommodate crew members. On board highlights include a beach club and a full-custom all-aluminium tender.

Vero is powered by a pair of MAN V12 engines, enabling a top speed of up to 25 knots. At her cruising speed of 9 knots, she can cover over 2,000 nautical miles.

According to BOATPro, Codecasa has three yachts on order or under construction. The largest of these is C128, which measures 57.8 metres and is believed to be the sistership of Kathryn, delivered in 2023.
