New Viareggio-based yacht brand Centouno Navi has unveiled two new superyacht models that will be fitted with waterjet propulsion to offer top speeds in excess of 58 knots.
Measuring 28 and 39 metres, the yacht designs are a collaborative effort between designer and entrepreneur Manuela Lucchesi and naval architect Marco Arnaboldi.
As the founder and former director of AB Yachts, Arnaboldi is uniquely well-placed for the challenges of super-fast luxury yachts. The new models will draw from Arnaboldi’s significant experience in the field and will be built with lightweight hulls made from a hybrid carbon and glass fibre blend with PVC foam core.
“Marco and I are people of the sea,” commented Manuela Lucchesi. “We’ve known each other since childhood and spent our whole lives in Viareggio."
"I can’t really comprehend not being able to hear the sea outside my window. So along with Marco's 30 years in the yachtbuilding industry and my flair for design, the soul of the sea lies at the heart of Centuno.”
The 28 metre yacht concept has been named Forza, and it will be able to reach top speeds of 60 knots thanks to a combination of triple MAN 12V 2,000 horsepower engines and three MJP 450 waterjets. According to Centouno Navi, it will have a range of 500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 50 knots.
Forza is characterised by a low, predatory profile with a generous aft deck lounge area complete with unfolding bulwarks and optional shading.
The 39 metre Eterea carries the same trademark design details as her smaller sister, with unfolding bulwarks on the aft and a generous foredeck sunpad. Renders also suggest an aft deck basketball hoop. Combined with the waterjets, four MTU engines will propel her to top speeds of 58 knots.
The new models aim to offer smooth, vibration-free cruising alongside high speeds and a custom interior design.
