Cantiere delle Marche has launched the 45-metre custom explorer Tremenda in a ceremony held at its facilities in Ancona, Italy. This is the first time the yacht, formerly known as Project T, has been sighted since construction began in March 2022.
Tremenda was commissioned by "an experienced owner" in 2021, who was said to work closely with the team during the design and development stage of the build. The yacht was designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta, with a straight, squared-off exterior lines that connect an almost vertical bow to an inviting transom with a generous beach club.
Up to eight guests can be accommodated in four large suites located on the lower deck. The owners will have the entire forward section of the main deck to themselves, encompassing a full-beam apartment complete with his and her bathrooms, a dressing room and an adjoining lounging area for relaxing in total privacy.
A key focus of the design is a connection with the outdoors. Oversized windows on both the main and upper decks offer a close connection with the exterior environment while ample space has been dedicated to al fresco lounging and dining.
"This project is the outcome of a long and careful refinement work that was carried on, along with the owners, for more than one year and with many productive design iterations," said Cassetta.
He added: "It is the bold vision of an experienced client made into reality and, in our view, is a statement of essential and pure design, where form and function collaborate closely to offer the best experience to the future lucky users."
Twin MAN V12-1400 engines will power the explorer yacht to a top speed of 14.5 knots, and an extended cruising range of 4000 nautical miles will ensure that Tremenda can explore the furthest reaches of the globe with her new owner.
