Australian studio Bury Design has revealed a 24 metre tender concept inspired by racing yachts named Inception 24.

Powered by a diesel-electric hybrid system, Inception 24 can reach top speeds of 25 knots or 40 knots if fitted with a fully foil borne, electric drive propulsion package.

Key features include a lightweight, narrow hull designed to deliver “high efficiency at moderate speeds,” the studio said.

“The narrow hull form has additional benefits that are not so obvious,” the studio added.

“A narrow beam lowers wave energy transferred to the vessel in the form of roll motions which makes the onboard gyro stabilisers effective at minimising roll.”

The concept can reach 25 knots

Inception 24 is designed to accommodate “a small number of people in luxury” and sleeps four guests in two cabins overnight or 12 on day trips. Inception 24 is operated by a crew of two.

The two ensuite cabins sit forward of the main saloon. Aft is an open deck area with a sofa and a large sun bed with tender storage underneath.

The design is the studio's second in as many months

The Inception 24 concept follows the Global Explorer, a 57 metre trimaran concept revealed by the studio last month.
