The biggest yachting news stories of February 2025

27 February 2025 • Written by Dea Jusufi

Unsurprisingly, a series of updates on the 194.9-metre REV Ocean caused the most excitement this month. Set to become the world's largest superyacht, this record-breaking vessel will be dedicated to scientific research and philanthropic works once delivered, with a smaller portion of her cruising time available for charter.

February also saw a striking metallic launch from Admiral, a surprising announcement from Perini Navi and the reveal of a highly secretive Lürssen, covertly photographed while being transported between halls.

A few days later, the very first images of REV Ocean herself were released following successful sea trials near Vard's facilities in Norway.

The record-breaking build will now head to the Netherlands for outfitting with Damen Shiprepair Vlissingen.
