Bering Yachts has released brand-new interior images of its 29.1-metre explorer Papillon, launched in 2022 at the Bering shipyard in Antalya, Turkey.
The steel-hulled explorer is part of the yard’s B92 range and was designed for prolonged bluewater trips. She features several modifications at the request of the owner across her three decks.
Much like the yard’s 44-metre flagship Heeus, the Bering 92 has a full displacement hull and sports a similar pale-grey hull and red bootstripe.
Papillion has a five-cabin layout with a main deck owner’s cabin positioned forward, while two VIP and two guest cabins are found on the lower deck.
The saloon’s focal point is its tinted, wrap-around windows, offering protection without compromising the panoramic ocean views. The space has a formal dining area for six, two sofas, an entertainment centre, built-in wine storage, and access to the aft cockpit via an automatic sliding door. Bering has opted for classic interiors which incorporate lacquered, dark-wood wall panelling and nautical blue and white accents.
A bar and grill can be found on the flybridge alongside two U-shaped sofas, while the boat deck has a hydraulic crane to launch and recover the main tender and Jet Ski. Sunpads on the foredeck provide additional lounge spaces.
The crew quarters and the captain’s cabin are placed aft of the engine compartment, with particular attention paid to “the crew members’ comfort and safety,” according to Alexei Mikhailov, CEO of Bering Yachts. “This is well illustrated in spacious crew quarters that include a separate galley and crew resting mess.”
Papillon’s power comes from a pair of Cummins QSM-11 diesel engines. The explorer can deliver a top speed of 13 knots pared back to nine knots, with a range of 3,500 nautical miles. Additional power is supplied by five solar panels.
The 183GT Papillon is the latest delivery in Bering’s fleet. According to BOATPro, two Bering 80 units are due for completion this year.
