Italian shipyard Baglietto has announced the sale of a custom 50-metre project, with delivery scheduled for 2027. The buyer was introduced by Royal Yacht International CEO and chairman Tommaso Chiabra, who will also participate in the vessel's construction alongside his technical team.
The superyacht will be built in steel and aluminium with a volume under 500GT. Details are scarce, though a helicopter deck and a twin Caterpillar propulsion package – for a maximum speed of 16 knots – have been confirmed.
"It is a huge satisfaction for us to be working on this project because it is very innovative and, therefore, very challenging," said Baglietto CCO Fabio Ermetto. "In addition to production yachts, which nonetheless stand out for their high level of customisation, we are happy to also be able to meet our clients’ demand for uniqueness with a fully-custom production, which proves our shipyard’s great flexibility and propensity to meet any and all needs."
This follows the sale of the first Fast50, the flagship model in Baglietto's automotive-inspired Fast line. The shipyard also delivered the second unit in its T52 series, Infinity, earlier this month.
