AB Yachts, a brand of Viareggio-based shipyard NEXT Yacht Group, has pulled the wraps off its new 37 metre AB 120 Beach model.
Capable of reaching speeds of 45 knots and equipped with a new design that centres around a large open aft deck, the yacht features AB Yacht’s signature high performance coupled with an increased focus on alfresco living.
The yacht has been designed to be lightweight, yet durable, which it achieves by using a mix of glass, carbon and honeycomb sandwich construction combined with an optimised hull form and waterjet propulsion.
A shallow draft of 1.35 metres has also been integrated into the design of this new model, allowing her to cruise in shallow-water regions including the Bahamas or Sardinia.
As her name suggests, the AB1 20 Beach has a large open beach club area on the aft which can be further extended with unfolding bulwarks, converting the space into a large waterfront terrace.
Elsewhere, the model also benefits from a spacious flybridge equipped with a “cinema under the stars” set-up.
Both the interior and decor can be customised according to the wishes of her owner, with AB Yachts saying the design has been optimised for an owner who “loves slender, sober lines: the interiors bring back to life the colours and memories of the Bahamas, and soft shades and atmospheres pervade the entire yacht”.
Large windows allow in plenty of light, and the yacht has an impressive double-volume living space that connects the main deck saloon to the saloon below deck. Other features include a convertible gym room and a custom-built bar.
The yacht is home to an aft deck float-in garage and a forward tender, which together can accommodate a large tender, two three-seater jet-skis, several Seabobs, electric foil boards, SUP boards, paddle boards, bikes and inflatables.
The first order for the AB 120 Beach was finalised in February 2022. Speaking about the orders, NEXT Yacht Group's CEO Gennaro Candida De Matteo commented: “Our new product range is attracting widespread interest, and these recent sales reward our efforts.
“We will keep growing in both size and functionality, relying on our proven technical solutions while also constantly pursuing new ambitious goals,” he added.
