The 50 metre motorsailer yacht Meira was launched on March 31 by Turkish yard Neta Marine. Currently offered for sale and for charter with Ocean Independence, this steel-hulled yacht was styled inside and out by Evan K Marshall, with a dark blue hull and canoe stern, while Fuat Turan developed the naval architecture.
Accommodation is for up to 12 guests split across six staterooms, including a master suite, complete with his and hers bathrooms, three doubles and two twins. Meanwhile, the crew quarters is suitable for a staff of up to 11 people.
On board entertainment has been thoroughly thought through with Samsung satellite televisions in all cabins and a bar in the skylounge.
Out on deck, guests can choose between a dip in the sundeck Jacuzzi or relaxing in any one of the four sunbathing areas. Other key features on board Meira include a dedicated massage room and sauna.
LYC and RINA compliant, her 495GT interior has been finished in ebony and Aningeria. Leather and marble elements help to create a luxurious feel on board and walnut flooring adds further finesse.
Her custom sailplan totals 597 square metres, while the rigging was all built from aluminium, including a 4.5 metre bowsprit. The fully-stocked garage includes a pair of tenders, canoes, wakeboards, paddleboards, waterskis, Jet Skis and inflatables, as well as equipment for windsurfing and snorkelling.
Power comes from a pair of 1,040hp Mitsubishi S12A2-MPTK engines for a top speed of 12 knots. When trimmed back to her cruising speed of ten knots, Meira has an estimated range of 3,900 nautical miles under power, drawing on a total fuel capacity of 22,500 litres.
