Mark Duncan at Yachting Partners International sends news that broker Will Bishop is offering the 42.35m sailing yacht Cyclos III for sale in a Blind Bid Auction closing on Thursday May 8th 2014.

Cyclos III was built by Royal Huisman and delivered in 1990. She is generally acknowledged as the ground-breaking yacht of her generation in a masterful design executed by Ron Holland, coupled with an Andrew Winch-designed interior. She accommodates up to 10 guests in three cabins - a master and two doubles along with four Pullman berths. An 890hp MTU engine gives her a range of 5,000 nautical miles

Before joining YPI, Will sailed on Cyclos III as mate and subsequently as captain so he knows the yacht well. ‘She is truly one of the most exciting yachts to sail,’ he says. 'Whether that be in the challenging conditions off Oregon or powered up in the Caribbean Trades…she is a yacht you never forget.’

Cyclos III can be viewed by appointment only at the Royal Huisman shipyard from 28 April to 2 May.

The guide price on Cyclos III is €2,750,000.
