The 29.9 metre motor yacht Murcielago, listed for sale by Brock Rodwell at Ray White Marine, was sold at an auction held at Australia’s Gold Coast Turf Club last week.
Built in GRP by British yard Sunseeker International as a Predator model, Murcielago was delivered in 2004. Panelled in satin cherry wood, she sleeps eight guests in four cabins comprising an amidships master suite with walk-in wardrobe, a twin port guest cabin and twin starboard guest cabin, along with a spacious forward VIP suite and all cabins have entertainment centres, television screens and en-suite bathroom facilities. There is also accommodation for three crew.
The spectacular saloon has skylights over the aft lounge and a sliding sunroof over the forward eight-seater dining area, enabling the entire room to become an al fresco entertaining and dining experience. To add to the welcoming ambience, there is a bar and an entertainment centre including a large screen Apple television set and a Crestron audio and video interface with a vast movie library.
However the emphasis is on outdoor living, as exemplified by the aft cockpit offering a wet bar, dining table for up to eight guests, a settee and a small sun bed, all protected by a roller blind for respite from the sun when desired. Meanwhile, amenities on the foredeck include a Whirlpool freshwater tub surrounded by sun bathing pads and cushions.
Her top speed is 38 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 600 nautical miles at 30 knots with power coming from three 2,000hp MTU 16V2000M91 diesel engines.
Murcielago was asking $2,400,000
