The 30.4-metre Southern Wind sailing yacht Friday has been sold with Southern Wind Brokerage.
The sloop-rigged sailing yacht was delivered in 2010 as the eleventh unit in the South African shipyard's SW100RS miniseries by Farr Yacht Design. She features a "Flag Blue" hull with a raised saloon configuration and was commissioned by an owner looking for both a long-range, comfortable cruiser and a competitive racer.
She has been meticulously maintained under her previous ownership and was offered for sale following a number of major works completed over the last two years, including recaulking of the teak deck, four new halyard winches, a new Williams Sportjet 365 tender and a new sail wardrobe.
Friday has a Southern Spars carbon fibre mast and boom with ECSix standing rigging and furlers for the genoa and staysail. Beneath the waterline is a fixed T-bulb keel giving her a 3.95-metre draught.
Accommodation is for up to eight guests across four cabins with the master suite forward, two doubles and a twin cabin. The main saloon features a teak dining table with a new TV lounge area fitted in 2022. The interior also benefited from a number of upgrades including the refinishing of varnished teak surfaces, all-new interior upholstery and new galley equipment.
Power comes from a single Cummins engine.
Friday was asking €5,250,000.
