The 38 metre sailing yacht Philkade has been listed for sale by Adam-Michael Papadakis at Camper & Nicholsons.
Built in aluminium by New Zealand yard Sensation Yachts, Philkade was delivered in 1986 bearing the name Aquel II and has the distinction of being the first superyacht designed by Dubois Naval Architects. Most recently refitted in 2017, this yacht for sale has been brought right up to date. Accommodation is for six guests in three cabins comprising a master suite, double and twin, all with entertainment centres and en suite shower facilities.
In the forward starboard corner of the main saloon is a bar area complete with excellent storage, sink and built-in icemaker, while further forward is a large U-shaped leather settee and armchairs. In the forward portion of the main saloon to port is a burled ash dining table with seating for eight guests.
Designed by a naval architect known for his racing yachts, and built to exacting standards of strength, safety, and speed, Philkade is one of the largest cutter-rigged sloops in the world. Her superb performance is the result of her sleek hull, winged keel, transferable ballast and clean profile.
Under power, twin 680hp MAN diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 12 knots, topping out at 14 knots.
Lying in Thailand, Philkade is asking €2,950,000.
