The 47.55 metre motor yacht El Duende has been sold in an in-house deal two months after being listed for sale by Globe Regal Yachts.
Built in steel and aluminium by Italian yard Picchiotti to a design by Arthur Defever, she was delivered in 1982 with refits and upgrades in 2005 and 2015. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in five cabins consisting of a master suite, three doubles and a twin, all with television screens and full en suite bathroom facilities, while the study on the main deck forward can be converted into a further twin cabin.
A large main deck saloon and dining area have comfortable seating, 10 custom made chairs for formal dining and a new, state-of-the-art entertainment centre including a 52 inch plasma television screen. The sky lounge features a player piano and another 52 inch plasma television screen. She also offers a custom Crestron entertainment system allowing music, DVD and television distribution throughout the yacht.
Deck spaces are generous and the huge aft deck is a wonderful open space for large-scale functions and parties. A few steps up, the pool deck features a gas barbecue and wet bar, comfortable sun lounging areas, a six person Jacuzzi tub and two seating areas for al fresco entertaining.
The latest refit, earlier in 2015, included a complete new galley and appliances, rebuilt stabilizers and she was reinstated to Lloyds classification following a favourable surveyor’s report. Twin 850hp Caterpillar engines give her a range of 6,100 nautical miles at 10 knots.
Lying in Spain, El Duende will soon undergo a name change and was asking €4.5 million.
