The 30.73 metre sailing yacht Penelope, listed for sale by Jamie Collins at Oyster Brokerage in Palma, has been sold in an in-house deal.
Built in GRP by Turkey’s RMK Marine yard to a design by Dubois Naval Architects, Penelope was delivered in 2012 as an Oyster 100 model and most recently refitted in 2017. The interior was designed by the Oyster in-house team and features warm walnut joinery throughout accommodating six guests in three cabins aft. These consist of a master suite with a king sized bed and two twins convertible to doubles, and all cabins have television sets and en suite shower facilities.
A raised saloon offers comfortable seating and a full entertainment system including a large television screen and a Kaleidescape server delivering on demand films and audio. Further forward and down lies an intimate lounge and separate dining area leading to the crew quarters with a crew mess, galley and two cabins for four crew.
Sloop rigged, Penelope has carbon spars and North Sails Spectra carbon sails to optimise performance even in the lightest winds, as was proved when she took first place in the Oyster regatta in Antigua in 2014. Under power, a Cummins QSM-11 engine gives her a cruising speed of 10 knots.
Her broker stresses that she has proved to be a very successful charter yacht and could prove to be a very interesting business proposition for her new owner.
Penelope was asking €6,950,000 with VAT paid.
