Italian yard Sanlorenzo has sold a new-build 44 metre motor yacht to an Asian client with the buyer introduced by Phil Gregory at Simpson Marine in Hong Kong.
Currently under construction in aluminium to a design by Zuccon International Project, delivery as a Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy model is scheduled for 2020. The accommodation layout is not yet specified, but will be determined by the new owner, although it is planned that there will be a double height master suite, a first for a yacht of this size.
Standout features include clean, sporty lines with distinctive cutouts in the bulwarks to provide unlimited sea views from the main deck and a sky lounge on the upper deck. The aft side of the hull will open to a lateral tender garage featuring a seven metre tender.
The interior volume is understood to be 440GT — a significant increase on the outgoing Sanlorenzo 40 Alloy's 338GT. Vital statistics include an 8.9 metre beam and a maximum draught of 2.3 metres. Power will come from a twin-screw MTU drivetrain for a top speed of 23 knots and comfortable cruising at 21 knots.
Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager comments, “The buyers in Asia are certainly impressed with Sanlorenzo’s ability to fully customise their yachts. The other key element is the constant focus on innovation and the integration of some features usually found on much larger yachts.”
The asking price of the Sanlorenzo 44 Alloy has been withheld.
