A new build 30.5 metre explorer motor yacht has been sold by Daniel Dwyer at Ocean Independence in Switzerland.
Currently being built in steel and aluminium by the Ocean King yard in Chioggia, Italy, with naval architecture by Innave, construction commenced to RINA class in early 2015 and delivery is scheduled for later this year.
A luxurious interior will have accommodation for 12 guests in six generous cabins and there will be quarters for eight crew in a further four cabins. There is still time for the new owner to decide on the exact cabin configuration, whether it be doubles or twins
The yard boasts of her great accommodation capacity compared to her compact dimensions: 270 square metres of outside areas and 300 square metres of accommodation for guests and crew, over three decks.
Currently carrying the project name of Ocean King 100 Explorer, her propulsion system will incorporate Azipod drives powered by twin 950hp Caterpillar engines and she will have a transoceanic range of 6,000 nautical miles at 9 knots. This is a professional system usually installed in commercial ships and tugs that ensures an impressive maneuverability, docking easily in any conditions including sustained wind or currents.
The next build slot at the yard is available now with delivery in 12 months.
Sold to an Italian client who was impressed by her sturdy build quality and short delivery time, the Ocean King 100 was listed at a price of €7,380,000.
