The new-build 84 metre motor yacht Project 280 has been jointly listed for sale by Frank Grzeszczak and Michael Rafferty at IYC with Burgess.
Currently in build at Dutch yard Icon to a design by Tim Heywood with naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, delivery is set for summer 2020. Accommodation will be for 19 guests, or 12 under commercial rules. The accommodation quarters include a 126-square metre master stateroom on the upper deck which will include sea balconies to port and starboard.
This yacht for sale is based on a 76 metre hull and superstructure which has been redesigned and lengthened to 84 metres. Icon chief executive Jen Wartena described the Icon 280 as “a yacht of the very best quality.”
“She boasts an imaginative interior, with surfaces and finishes that catapult this yacht into the next decade. Contemporary yet timeless, she is befitting of the most discerning owner or guest.”
Exterior designer Heywood added: “The more developed design now boasts a touch-and-go Heli Deck and larger infinity pool aft, all benefiting from naval architecture by Van Oossanen, and the experienced engineering input and the superb covered building facilities of the Icon yard in northern Holland.”
Powered by twin super-efficient 1,500kW Caterpillar diesel engines (equivalent to over 4,000hp) and clean-emission generators, she also has retractable stabilisers by Rolls-Royce and the latest bow thrusters for ultra-quiet operation.
The Icon 280 is asking €120,000,000.
