The third 27.4-metre motor yacht from the Arksen 85 explorer series has been listed for sale with Sam Tucker of Moravia Yachting. With delivery expected in 2026, the vessel will be available 18 months after signature.
Building on the success of the first two yachts in the series – Mamaluna, delivered in 2023 and the second Arksen 85 due to be delivered this year – the third Arksen 85 hull will be built in aluminium to a design from Humphreys Yacht Design with interiors by Design Unlimited. She will be constructed on behalf of Arksen at the UK-based Wight Shipyard, owned by Ocea.
Accommodation on board is for up to eight guests in four cabins or six guests in three cabins including a full-beam master suite. All cabins are located on the lower deck, with the guest accommodation either fixed or convertible between twin and double cabins. Additional berths are also available as an option. The Arksen 85 can be operated with minimal crew, and there are quarters for two or four crew as required.
According to her brokers, functionality and sustainability are central to the Arksen 85 design brief. Her interiors are designed to be versatile and can be re-configured with modular furniture, while the materials used on board are selected to "minimise damage to the environment wherever possible."
This is exampled in the galley worktops which are made from recycled plastics and the upholstery which uses waste fashion fibres or recovered ocean plastics. However, the interior design can be customised to the client's requirements, with a "huge scope of choice".
On the main deck, the Arksen 85 features an open-plan lounge and galley with direct deck access, a lobby and a dayhead, with stairs leading to the bridge deck. Here, guests will find a second saloon and a study area.
Outside, there is an al fresco dining setup to aft with BBQ grill, aft deck lounge, and there is additional bench seating forward of the bridge. The third Arksen 85 is highly customisable; her exterior can be left bare in aluminium, or faired and painted.
Accessories such as cranes and stabilisation booms can also be included on board and there is storage of a large tender of up to 5.5-metres, as well as further storage for water toys and diving equipment in the aft lazarette. Meanwhile, her aft deck is reinforced and can accommodate up to 4,000kg in weight such as a vehicle or a submersible.
"Each Arksen vessel is designed and built to allow owners to explore the globe, with the confidence, comfort, independence and efficiency expected of a serious, modern, long-range cruising yacht," shared her broker. The Arksen 85 can reach top speeds of 14 knots and cruising speeds of 12 knots, with an exploratory range of 7,000 nautical miles.
