The 48.5-metre classic motor yacht Western Isles has joined the market with Miles Clark of Ocean Independence.
Delivered in Japan in 1974, from Ishikawajima, the steel and aluminium "elegant but rugged" vessel was refitted in 2005.
Accommodation is for a party of up to 14 in seven cabins, the two largest of which are on the main deck, the remaining five on the lower deck. Teak bulkheads and upholstered loose furniture – including a vintage, buttoned leather sofa opposite the bar – give the interior a cosy, live-aboard feel, from saloon to cabins.
Western Isles' vast upper deck, with Jacuzzi and sunpads, sports a large bimini hard top giving good protection from the elements. The layout is unusual with a four-seater bar facing a TV, aft of which a pair of freestanding tables allow for outdoor dining.
A single 750hp Daihatsu engine drives the 366GT classic yacht for sale at a cruising speed of 9 knots, giving her an impressive range of 8,000 nautical miles. Maximum speed is 12 knots.
Western Isles is lying in Hong Kong and asking $5,160,000.
