The 28.96 metre Kuipers explorer yacht Maverick, listed for sale by Roy Sea at IYC, has had a price reduction of $450,000.
Built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Kuipers to a design by Vripack, Maverick was delivered in 2002 as one of the yard’s famed Doggersbank series. Her rugged, go-anywhere exterior belies an elegant interior in cherry wood accommodating six guests in three cabins. These consist of a master suite and two twin cabins, all with entertainment centres, Sharp television screens and marble en suite bathroom facilities. There is also accommodation for three crew in two cabins aboard this yacht for sale.
In the main saloon, the dining area is forward with a secured dining table seating six guests and surrounded by cherry wood cabinetry storing glassware, china and silver. Further aft, the lounge has two large L-shaped settees with a low table in the centre and an entertainment centre including a 42-inch plasma television screen on a rise and fall mechanism. In the galley is a two person fixed half oval settee with a table for breakfasts and casual meals.
The aft deck is designed to be enjoyed in all weathers, protected by the overhang of the deck above and side enclosures in vinyl and canvas. It offers built-in upholstered seating, four loose chairs and a varnished teak table on a pedestal mount, while on the port side forward is a small granite bar, sink and fridge.
Twin 385hp Caterpillar diesel engines give the proven voyager a range of 6,000 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 9 knots.
Maverick is now asking $6,500,000.
