46m Damen support vessel Bad Company Support for sale

3 May 2023 • Written by Holly Overton

The 45.6-metre Damen Yachting support vessel Bad Company Support has been listed for sale with Neil Emmott at Superyacht Sales and Charter.

Bad Company Support was delivered as Joy Rider in 2019 and purchased by her current owner Anthony Hsieh in 2021. Since changing hands she has served as a tender-carrying vessel to support a competitive sportfishing fleet. Last year, she embarked on an ambitious marlin fishing tour beginning in Madeira in Portugal, with stopped in the Canary Islands, Cape Verde and other fishing hotspots along Africa’s west coast.

She is offered for sale following a refit in 2022.

Bad Company Support is asking $15,500,000.

Bad Company Support offers superior seakeeping thanks to a wave-piercing Sea Axe bow and advanced Quantum zero-speed stabilisers. A heavy-duty knuckle boom crane can lift up to 6.7 tonnes for the launch and recovery of large tenders and other toys from the aft deck. Once cleared, the space can be used to land a helicopter.

She is offered for sale following a refit in 2022.

She was delivered as a support vessel to a larger mothership but was later modified to accommodate six guests in three cabins with a vibrant, tropical interior, in contrast to her functional exterior.

Power comes from a pair of Caterpillar C32 engines that deliver a cruising speed of 12 knots and a range of 5,000 nautical miles. A 10-metre Rupert tender and other toys will be included in the sale.

Bad Company Support is currently lying in Cape Verde but will shortly be departing Fort Lauderdale where she will remain until sold. She is asking $15,500,000.
