The 63.7 metre Codecasa motor yacht Sokar has been sold, with Burgess representing the buyer and Seawood Yachts representing the seller.
Sokar was built by the Italian superyacht yard Codecasa in steel and aluminium to a design by Vincenzo Ruggiero and delivered in 1990 as one of the most outstanding superyachts of her era with striking lines and sound construction incorporating elements of strength, power and beauty. Extensive accommodation is provided for 18 guests in a master suite and eight double staterooms, all with en suite bathroom facilities.
On-deck features aboard this recently sold yacht include two al fresco dining areas, including one on the bridge deck and one on the sun deck. The sun deck also includes various lounging areas, a Jacuzzi spa tub and stunning 360-degree views.
A substantial refit in 1997 and 1999 at the Abeking & Rasmussen Shipyard in Germany included extending the yacht by five metres, and her paintwork, machinery, emergency and safety equipment are just some of the items that were renewed or improved drastically. Sokar is today a safe, fast, stable and economic yacht which suits even the most discerning owner.
Twin Wartsila-Nohab engines give Sokar a range of 6,900 nautical miles at 14 knots, and was asking $10,000,000.
