The 49.9-metre new-build motor yacht Project Aries has had a change of central agency and is now listed with Eric Trupheme of Ocean Independence.
Under construction at RMK in Turkey, the explorer-style yacht is due for delivery in spring 2025. Her design is by renowned Milan-based studio Hot Lab and the broker pointed out that "the layout and interior design can still be fully customized according to the buyer's wishes". She is being built in steel and aluminium with a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
Her sundeck boasts sunpads, deck loungers aft and a central dining table, useful for buffet-style parties. A further al fresco dining option is aft on the upper deck while a more formal interior space is forward in the open-plan saloon on the main deck. The master suite is forward, at main deck level, while five guest cabins are found on the lower deck, one being a full-beam VIP double and one a twin.
One of Aries’ benefits is the ability to stow large tenders, a major request of any yacht owner keen to explore the world. Also, thanks to its folding-down bulwarks, the tender deck can be converted into a spacious beach club, where there is also a rectangular pool. Despite her aggressive expedition style, the yacht would be equally capable as a 12-guest charter yacht in the Mediterranean.
The powering can also be specified by the new owner, with two options – diesel engines or a diesel-electric hybrid, the latter offering lower fuel consumption. Twin CAT or MTUs of approximately 900hp each will give top speeds of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots on this yacht for sale.
Project Aries is asking €31,500,000.
