The 51.7 metre sailing yacht Prana has been listed for sale by Valeria Alekhina at Thompson Westwood & White.
Built in aluminium by New Zealand yard Alloy Yachts to a design by Dubois Naval Architects, Prana was delivered in 2006 with a thorough refit in 2012. An interior by RWD, utilising walnut and wenge woods with dark chocolate leather inserts, accommodates up to 12 guests in five cabins comprising a full beam master suite, two VIP suites and two twins. All guest cabins have full audio/visual centres and full en suite facilities while the crew quarters sleep up to nine staff aboard this yacht for sale.
The spacious main saloon is divided into several discrete areas allowing guests to always find a comfortable space, whether in the welcoming bar, elegant lounge or the stylish dining area with seating for 10 guests.
A large aft deck has two separate dining areas, making this the ideal space for al fresco entertaining and dining while other outdoor spaces include a large flybridge, spa pool and gym.
On the technical side, the carbon fibre mast is complemented by an in-boom furling system. She also carries the largest set of sails made by Doyle Sails in New Zealand – the mainsail is 883 square metres in size, the genoa 1,151 square metres and the asymmetric gennaker is the largest single sail ever built by Doyle, at 2,227 square metres. Under power, her top speed is 15 knots and she boasts a maximum cruising range of 5,900 nautical miles at 10 knots with power coming from a 1,200hp Caterpillar 3412-E diesel engine.
