The 60 metre Alia motor yacht Samurai has been sold by Will Christie at Christie Yachts in just three months with Frank Grzeszczak Sr at FGI Yacht Group introducing the buyer.
Samurai was built in steel and aluminium by Turkish shipyard Alia Yachts and first hit the water in 2016. A year after her launch, she was nominated for a Showboats Design Award with naval architecture by Van Oosanen & Associates and a design by Omega Architects.
The design studio of RWD took full advantage of her 1,029 GT volume to create spacious accommodation for 12 guests in five light and modern cabins. All are located on the main deck, including a 87.1 square metre owner’s suite with lounge area and architectural skylight, while the four guest suites are convertible between a double or twin configuration. If additional accommodation is needed, the study on the bridge deck can be converted into a double cabin, complete with its own shower.
Samurai blurs the lines between indoor and outdoor living by using extensive panels of glass and offers multiple options for al-fresco entertaining. The yacht’s social spaces include a 97.7 square metre sun deck with a large Jacuzzi pool and two aft deck areas with free-standing furniture and sun loungers, and another seating/sunbathing area forward.
The lower deck hosts the crew quarters, including accommodation, main galley, storage and the engine room. A generous beach club and, tender garage and gymnasium are also located on the lower deck. The folding swim platform provides easy access to the water so that the guests can enjoy a variety of water toys offered onboard.
Twin 3,860hp MTU diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 17 knots topping out at 21 knots and a range of 4,250 nautical miles at 13 knots.
Samurai was asking €36,900,000 and will now join the charter market.
