The 55.5-metre Lürssen motor yacht Moon Sand has been listed for sale under a joint central agency with Alex Busher of Edmiston and Henry Goulding of Cecil Wright.
Delivered in 2021, Moon Sand enters the market following recent refit works completed by MB92 that included extensive upgrades to her sundeck. She is described as "truly bespoke", with her "distinctive lines" – from the drawing board of Bannenberg & Rowell – influenced by the German yard’s 1973 motor yacht Carinthia VI (now V2V). The London-based studio was also responsible for her interiors.
As a shipyard known for building the largest superyachts in the world, Moon Sand instead marked a re-establishment of the 55- to 77-metre market for Lürssen, as the yard's smallest build since 1955.
Moon Sand can accommodate up to 10 guests across five flexible cabins. An owner’s suite forward on the main deck features its own entrance lobby, walk-in wardrobe and his and her en suites, whilst the remaining double cabins – which can be converted to create two large VIP suites – are situated on the lower deck, all en suite. Meanwhile, a crew of up to 15 are accommodated across seven cabins.
According to her designers, Moon Sand's interior is "vibrant and bright". A "fearless use of colours and textures" has been combined with "museum-quality interior furniture pieces" to create a sophisticated atmosphere on board. This is evidenced throughout her main saloon, which has two separate seating areas and an inviting bespoke dining table.
On the bridge deck, the sky lounge is equally as decorative and impressively versatile, with four spaces morphed into one – including a games area, coffee lounge, office and bar. A fully equipped gym is also located nearby.
Conceived as a private family retreat able to cruise the world with ease, Moon Sands offers an array of areas for entertaining, exercising or relaxing. A notable feature is her aft deck swimming pool with counter-current system, which can be raised and lowered as required.
Her newly refitted sundeck – upgraded by Azure Yacht Design over the winter 2024 period – now features a Jacuzzi, dining area and spacious sunpads, all protected by high glass windbreaks without disturbing views.
The yacht for sale is powered by twin MTU engines providing a top speed of 15 knots and cruising speed of 13 knots. She has a range of 6,000 nautical miles when travelling at an economical low-emission speed of 10.7 knots. Stabilisers provide additional comfort while at anchor or underway.
Lying in Barcelona, Spain, Moon Sand is asking €65,000,000.
