Ares Yachts' 50.6-metre superyacht project known as Spitfire is now listed for sale under a joint central agency with Will Christie of Christie Yachts and Alex G. Clarke of Denison Yachting.
Revealed to the industry in August last year, Spitfire is based on the same fast displacement hull dynamics of the Turkish yard's offshore patrol vessel series, the Ares 150 Bold. She features a collaborative design from Bannenberg & Rowell for the exterior and interior, and Lateral Naval Architects for the naval architecture. Construction is scheduled to begin this year with a 2027 delivery date.

Two double and two twin guest cabins (referred to as "Buddy Quarters") are located on the lower deck, all with en suites, while a full-beam owner's suite ("The Boss' Quarters") is situated on the main deck, with 270-degree views and a private forward cockpit, complete with Jacuzzi and outdoor cinema. Meanwhile, eight crew are accommodated across five cabins including one captain's cabin.
Spitfire's design is said to be inspired by the Supermarine Spitfire fighter aircraft, with her brokers noting that she combines "aeronautical charm with maritime excellence".
In an exclusive interview with BOAT, designer Dickie Bannenberg shared: "All the interior spaces are rechristened to break that link of the boring main saloon, owner's saloon, all those things. They've been ditched in favour of scramble spaces and bosses' quarters. It sets the story for that sort of boat and how she will be perceived."

Another multifunctional space is "The Ready Room" on the upper deck: designed for owner and captain meetings, as well as a guest viewing area during cruising.
The lower deck is home to a "Fun Store." Flooded with natural light through four large skylights, this space offers two layout options, including a lounge and cinema or a fully equipped gym. Side-opening platforms on the lower deck also extend the swim area and aft platform for an even larger entertainment space.
A hydraulic retractable crane on the main deck aft allows for easy launching of the rescue boat tender, jet skis and other water toys. Once deployed, there are bounds of space for a party or yoga retreat.
The yacht for sale will be able to reach a maximum speed of 22 knots and a range of 3,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots, powered by a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion of twin MAN V12 diesel engines and two 300kW electric motors.
Spitfire is asking €32,900,000.
