Swiss fine watchmaker Vacheron Constantin has unveiled two limited edition versions of its successful Overseas timepieces.
The watches are available in simple date or dual time versions and both come in a 42mm steel case with screw-lock crown. Sharing a number of design hallmarks with Vacheron Constantin’s popular and sporty Overseas line, the timepieces feature deep blue dials with luminescent 18 karat white gold hands and hour markers for increased visibility, a secure triple-blade folding clasp, the trademark Vacheron bezel inspired by the Maltese cross and the iconic Amerigo Vespucci ship engraved on the caseback.
The watches also come with a choice of dark blue straps: one in vulcanised rubber for more physically demanding wear and alligator leather for the stylishly discerning buyer. Technical aspects of the timepieces boast self-winding movements with protection from magnetic fields, 40 hours of power reserve and waterproof capabilities to depths of 150 metres.
The dual time version also features a power reserve display on the dial which, in terms of design, has a subtly balancing effect on the two timezone and date subdials. The impressive marriage of form and function in these limited edition designs will certainly see them added to the wish list of any avid watch collector and makes them a top contender for the best nautical watches for father’s day.
Created as strict limited editions, the simple time is available in a numbered run of 350 and the Dual Time in a run of just 300. Both editions are available to buy now with price on application. Visit vacheron-constatin.com
