Charter yacht of the week: top marks for brand new 34m Benetti A+

13 August 2024 • Written by Georgia Boscawen

Each week, we place a spotlight on one of the world’s finest yachts for charter. This week, BOAT delves into the details of A+, Benetti’s 34m Oasis superyacht pocket rocket, just before she arrives on the charter market for the first time. Good-looking and well laid out, A+ is another fine new addition to the charter fleet…

It was only this spring (2024) when A+ hit the water at the Benetti facility in Viareggio. Another roaring success, from a project with a remarkable design journey. Why? Because the Oasis 34m series was created to solve a problem – or answer an age-old question – what do owners want? In this case – it’s a sublime charter yacht that is capable of edging into small coves (thanks to the model’s 2.03-metre draft), plenty of lounge space and beautiful spaces on board.

The hugely successful Oasis series was designed for exploration, and now in her inaugural charter season, A+ is doing just that.

Design-wise, the interiors balance cool and contemporary with a neutral colour palate, lots of naturally finished wood and an impressive pool that hangs proudly over the aft deck. New York-based studio Bonetti & Kozerski architecture, were tasked with the challenge of creating a relaxing, warm and welcoming exterior that would be a sensational yacht for charter.

Key Features

LOA: 34m
Year: 2024
Builder: Benetti
Guests: 11
Crew: 7

There are rarely opportunities to charter a yacht so close to her completion, but from August 16 2024, she will be officially available and fresh from the shipyard. On board things are wide open - open-plan was a key word in the brief - and flooded with light. in fact, this Oasis model was quite literally inspired by the outside, so the removal of visual barriers to the general arrangement was a deliberate and well-executed plan.

"A+ offers a charter experience worthy of her name," says Jennifer McGregor, charter management director of the FGI Yacht Group."The 112' Benetti Oasis, newly launched this spring, combines innovative design with its open concept, expandable sea terrace wings, and signature Oasis Deck."

"A+ provides endless entertainment for all ages with a fully stocked toy box, spacious sundeck, the iconic infinity pool on the aft deck, and gym equipment. Accommodating up to 11 guests in luxurious comfort and cared for by a world-class experienced crew, she's perfect for family gatherings or groups of friends seeking both relaxation and adventure in the Western Mediterranean, Bahamas, and Caribbean," adds McGregor.

As we've seen from her predecessors including Seaesta, which was the first yacht in the series, there are clear design cues that nod to the outside world, like the heavy use of teak, rattan detailing on the furniture and use of wood. But mostly, it's the windows that draw the outside world into A+. These vast sweeping windows were a key parameter in the brief of the entire range, and one that RWD integrated into the yacht's DNA.

Accommodation on board is for 11, across five cabins, each that follows the same light and airy theme. Each of the five guest cabins benefits from the yacht's vast windows, which help to make the yacht feel bigger than she is.

Life on board A+

Like other models in the series, A+ has been fitted with the series’ trademark Oasis Deck, replacing the traditional beach club with a tiered, open-air sun lounge. Designed to convert the area into a “vast convivial oasis”, the Oasis Deck features a fold-out wing design, an integrated glass-front dip pool and an unobstructed 270-degree view off the stern, even from the main deck saloon.

Days on board will mostly be split between the sun deck, which has plenty of lounging space including sun pads, sofas and another dining table, and the beach club. Here at water level, there is also the Sea Lift, an integrated electronic platform which can be lowered and lifted in and out of the water which doubles as a great spot to sunbathe as the water laps against you.

Wellness and fitness regimes won't need to take a beating during charter too as A+promises an array of treadmills, bikes and free weights on board. These can be set up on the aft deck for exercising al fresco.

She’s so new, that the full list of water toys are yet to be disclosed, however, A+ promises the full works of water toys and inflatables. We do know however, that she will have a 11.53-metre Skipper-BSK 38NC tender with twin 500hp engines in her roster, as well as a 5.03m Williams Diesel Jet 505.

Where will A+ be cruising?

A+ is available for charter with FGI Yacht Group. with a weekly rate from $180,000. For her inaugural charter season she will be in the Bahamas and Caribbean this winter and then cruising back over to the Mediterranean for the 2025 summer season.
