Damen has released a video showing the detailed design and capability of the SeaXplorer 75 model.
It comes after the customised explorer, which is currently under construction, passed its keel laying milestone in July 2018. It remains on track for a late 2020 delivery.
Another model in the range, the SeaXplorer 65, is also under construction for a 2020 delivery.
Detailed renderings of the SeaXplorer 75 were first presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in September last year.
Designed by Azure Naval Architects, the 2,650GT, six-decked expedition yacht measures 76.9 metres and offers accommodation for 12 guests.
Accommodation includes an owner’s apartment and two VIP suites, which sit alongside an observation lounge and outdoor deck.
The yard previously described the yacht as “the ultimate crossover of superyacht quality and finish with serious capability”.
The yacht has an impressive inventory of expedition equipment, including two helicopters, a helideck and hangar, dive centre and two tender garages fore and aft. Designed for long periods at sea, the SeaXplorer has the capability to carry enough provisions and fuel for 40 days between port calls.
Amels and Damen managing director Rose Damen described the SeaXplorer 75 as “a yacht for all seasons for clients who want to make more use of their time to explore the world.”
“The combination of our Amels luxury yachting knowhow with our Damen Shipyards Group experience delivering commercial vessels is really unique – and you can see that in the design,” she said.
“The SeaXplorer 75 offers serious global capability but with true superyacht refinement at home in any marina. We’ve also designed her to be customised to our client’s bespoke requirements.”
