With the Venice Boat Show 2023 officially underway, Wally Yachts has taken the opportunity to present the all-new wallywhy150 to a host of visitors at the Venetian Arsenale.
The 24.1-metre motor yacht was created by Luca Bassani and the Wally-Ferretti Group Engineering team with a focus on spacious outdoor decks that are "unmatched" for the yacht's size, the yard said.
On the sundeck, guests can enjoy al fresco dining underneath an extended overhang with additional seating for sunbathing further aft.
Elsewhere, the main deck aft offers a large platform with enough space to store a 3.9-metre tender, easily transferred to-and-from the water thanks to the yacht's hydraulic multipurpose ladder and rising platform.
A key design feature of the wallywhy150 is the floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing the Studio Vallicelli interiors in an abundance of natural light. Accommodations are housed within either a three or four-cabin configuration, both of which include a main deck master cabin complete with 270-degree panoramic views.
Depending on the owner's preference, the remaining lower deck guest cabins can be organised as one VIP cabin, one double and one twin, or in a layout with two VIP cabins.
Other customisations include onboard engine configurations, which can either come as three IPS1350 engines for a top speed of 23 knots or the standard propulsion of three IPS1200 engineers for a top speed of 21 knots.
Wally founder and chief designer Luca Bassani said of the yard's latest addition: "It is the simplicity and accessibility of the layout which makes it so appealing to a huge range of clients – it offers the ultimate flexible platform for those looking to expand the horizon of traditional planing-craft usage."
According to Bassani, the wallywhy150 is also the first of the yard's offerings to provide direct access to the sea at cockpit level without the need for stairs, making the yacht "effectively a floating loft on the water".
"Our goal was to anticipate market demands developing a yacht capable, once again, of being ahead of its time, starting from those innovative features that made the wallywhy200 successful," added Wally managing director Stefano de Vivo.
The news comes shortly after Wally announced the sale of the first hull in its new wallywind series of sailing yachts, a wallywind110 due for delivery in 2024.
