Turkish shipyard Tufan and Brothers Co. has announced a new, 40-metre project known as Hiu, which will begin construction in early 2025. The steel and aluminium superyacht will be built at the shipyard's facilities in Tuzla.
Both exterior and interior styling comes from the boards of Red Yacht Design, with the exterior characterised by a broad bow, defined overhangs and sloped, wide lines of glazing.
Accommodation is across five cabins, with the owner's suite on the main deck and the remaining guest cabins positioned on the lower deck. According to the designer, the project is set apart by its "extensive and versatile exterior spaces", which comprise a beach club, an upper deck lounge and a 90-square-metre sundeck with multiple lounges, a dining table, bar, sunbeds and a pool looking out across the bow.
"We are thrilled to bring Hiu to life in collaboration with Red Yacht Design. Our goal with this project is to provide our clients with a yacht that not only exemplifies elegance but also delivers unmatched outdoor experiences," said shipyard director Tufan Avsar. "Hiu will be a testament to our dedication to craftsmanship and innovation."
Fatih Surekli, managing director of Red Yacht Design, added: "Designing Hiu has been an exciting challenge, and we believe she will set a new standard in her category. Her flowing lines and expansive outdoor areas create a seamless connection between the yacht and the sea, offering her guests an unparalleled experience of luxury and relaxation."
Hiu will have a cruising speed of 12 knots.
Red Yacht Design recently shared a 68-metre project called Livia with BOAT International. Highlights include two swimming pools, a sauna and a touch-and-go helipad.
