The third Swan 115 hull has been launched and is now named Highland Fling. The news comes weeks after sistership Shamanna was launched. Both sailing superyachts are expected to race at the Rolex Swan Cup in Porto Cervo in September.
Just like her sistership, Highland Fling is designed by Nautor’s Swan and Frers as a high performance yacht. Her owner is believed to be a well-known sailor with a passion for yacht racing and a series of Swan and Farr yachts in his history.
The Swan 115 design was developed to offer owners a balance that increases the return of enjoyment that comes with owning maxi superyachts. A focus has been placed on boosting downwind speeds to offer more adrenaline-pumping racing but with the balance of comfort so they can cruise with their families too.
Hailed as the ultimate performance Swan, the 115s fuse the yard’s iconic style and quality with uncluttered deck spaces and sleek lines. Highland Fling has a long bowsprit for improved downwind performance, a retractable propeller available for the racing man that is in addition to her straight propeller shaft arrangement, and sail handling at the push of a button.
Inside, Highland Fling is believed to have a traditional teak interior that has been hand-built by Nautor’s craftsmen in Finland. Light oil wax satin finishes and modern details are peppered throughout her interior.
