Italian yard Permare has launched the second hull of its Amer 116 flagship series. The 35m composite motor yacht has been christened Il Gattopardo.

The Amer 116 is designed by Massimo Verme. This second hull show some improvements over the first one, Imagin, which was launched in 2009. Its large, square portholes are more contemporary in style and introduce a lot of light into the hull, while the flybridge has a special layout which includes a mini-pool.

The interior is designed by CGA Architectes Associats, accommodating six guests in three suites. It features an elevator made in crystal and metal, which connects all decks from the lower deck to the flybridge.

Powered by twin 2,637hp MTU engines, the yacht's top speed is in excess of 27 knots.

Il Gattopardo will be delivered this summer, and more projects are already in the pipeline.
