The 45 metre superyacht Helios has completed a refit at the Perini Navi facility in Viareggio, Italy, where her mast was modified and repainted and her rod rigging was changed.
The captain and refit manager of the 2007 Perini Navi sloop, Raymond Wroe-Street, said they planned for Helios to stay in the yard for the winter, but the work needed to be brought forward so she could sail to the Caribbean.
“Elena Piendibene and her team worked diligently in getting the work done to meet our new deadline,” said Wroe-Street. “The mast was repainted and all rod rigging changed. With the change we saw several improvements to the mast, which allowed us to tune to a much better shape. Although not a huge work list, it was an expensive one. Perini stayed well within the quoted budget and in several cases was able to undertake the work with a significant savings to the yacht.”
Helios is currently for sale with Perini Navi USA, where she had a €2.45 million price drop in November.
