UK-based design studio STURGE&TOTH has teamed up with Falcon Tenders to reveal a new range of limousine tenders called Gladius. The first model in the series will be a 10-metre electric model called the Gladius Gullwing Limousine, which aims to balance the "heritage of Venetian gentlemen‘s tenders with the modern attributes of luxury superyacht tenders".
With accommodation for 12 guests and a captain on board, there is a convertible cabin that offers seating with integrated armrests and entertainment screens throughout. Fold-down boarding steps provide easy access to the interior, while the gullwing doors offer an elevated experience for guests on board. Speaking about the design, STURGE&TOTH have said: "This system is unique to tenders and boats of her size and will enable enhanced onboard experiences, making the transition from mothership to any destination a more versatile and joyful commute."
The tender also features a retractable glass top, allowing excellent views while the glass is in place and airflow while the rear glass unit over the aft couple seating is retracted. Options for customisation will be available across the model, with high-luxury materials including Scottish Muirhead leather and Majilite and Foglizzo.
Speaking about the design, Toby Sturge said: "In this vessel, we have distilled the very essence of our craft, and it stands as a testament to our unwavering commitment to beauty, performance and the relentless pursuit of the extraordinary.“
The Gladius Gullwing Limousine can reach a top hybrid speed of 35 knots with an electric speed of nine knots. Battery capacity is 50KW.
Falcon Tenders has been busy recently, having recently secured multi-million financial investment from British consortium LNT Group.
