StellarPM has signed a contract for the build of the first hull in its StellarONE range of motor yachts.
The StellarONE108 is a 33 metre raised pilothouse model and has been commissioned by an American owner with delivery scheduled for 2024. The owner opted for the steel iteration of the model, as opposed to an all-aluminium construction, with a full-displacement hull offering long-range cruising.
Ginton Naval Architects is responsible for the naval architecture while the owner has requested a custom interior by Unzile Acar Interiors.
A high-volume interior is granted by an eight-metre beam and offers a five-cabin layout with room for a complement of five crew. The StellarONE108 has a full-beam main deck master suite with lower deck accommodation comprising two equal-sized queen staterooms, a VIP suite with a king-size bed and a twin cabin.
The vessel will be built to Lloyd's Class and construction will begin shortly at the StellarPM yard in Hai Phong in Vietnam.
The first StellarONE108 will offer a maximum speed of 14 knots with a range of approximately 3,400 nautical miles, powered by twin Caterpillar C32 B-rated 750hp engines.
Chris Holmes, principal and founder of StellarPM said he felt the project will “wake up” the market. “What sub-$10m yacht of this size gives Lloyd’s certified all-metal construction, Northern European superyacht quality engineering and finish, teak decks all-round, Tier III CAT C32 engines, an on-deck master with its own foldout balcony, a beach club and tender garage and so much more?”
The StellarONE series will consist of three models with full displacement and semi-displacement 118 and 130 models currently being designed and in development for customers. The owner of the first hull is also in talks to commission a second sistership to the StellarONE108.
